Notification : National Institute of Technology ( NIT) Silchar is inviting applications from eligible candidates for the posts of Project Assistants and Junior Research Fellow (JRF) for the DST sponsored project “Sustainable Energy System for Achieving Novel Carbon Neutral Energy Communities (SUSTENANCE)”

Duration: 42 Months (extension based on performance review every 12 months)

Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

  • No. of posts : 1
  • Age Limit : 35 years
  • Name of project : Sustainable Energy System for Achieving Novel Carbon Neutral Energy Communities (SUSTENANCE)
  • Essential Qualification : B.Tech/B.E/M.Tech./M.E. in Electrical / Electrical and Electronics Engineering from recognized University and should have GATE/CSIR–UGC NET/ qualified through National level examination according to DST guidelines.
  • Desirable Qualification / Experience : Candidates having M. Tech degree and having hands on experience in developing and working on hardware / laboratory prototype especially on Power Electronic Converters will be given preference. Throughout First Class in academic career is preferred.
  • Salary : Rs. 31,000 + 08% HRA per month (if accommodation is not provided by the Institute)

Project Assistant

  • No. of posts : 1
  • Age Limit : 35 years
  • Name of project : Sustainable Energy System for Achieving Novel Carbon Neutral Energy Communities (SUSTENANCE)
  • Essential Qualification : 3 Years Diploma/B. Tech. or equivalent in Electrical / Electrical from recognized University according to DST guidelines
  • Desirable Qualification / Experience : Candidates having B. Tech degree and having hands on experience indeveloping and working on hardware / laboratory prototype especially on Power Electronic Converters and site survey will be given preference. Throughout First Class in academic career is preferred.
  • Salary : Rs. 20,000 + 08% HRA per month (if accommodation is not provided by the Institute)

Project Assistant

  • No. of posts : 1
  • Age Limit : 35 years
  • Name of project : Sustainable Energy System for Achieving Novel Carbon Neutral Energy Communities (SUSTENANCE)
  • Essential Qualification : B.Sc. in Chemistry from recognized University according to DST guidelines
  • Desirable Qualification / Experience : Candidates having B. Sc. Chemistry degree will be given preference. Throughout First Class in academic career is preferred.
  • Salary : Rs. 20,000 + 08% HRA per month (if accommodation is not provided by the Institute)
