Eligibility Criteria
To apply, candidates must be Indian Citizens and Permanent Residents of Assam . Additionally, proficiency in the Assamese language (or other state languages) and a valid Employment Exchange Registration in Assam are mandatory .
Age Limits (as of Jan 1, 2026)

Selection Process
The selection involves a multi-stage process to ensure physical and mental fitness :
- Physical Standard Test (PST): Height and chest measurements with preliminary medical checks (no marks) .
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET): Includes a 3200m race for males (14 mins) and 1600m for females (8 mins), plus long jump .
- Written Test: 100 multiple-choice questions (50 total marks) covering Arithmetic, English, Reasoning, and Assam-related topics . There is no negative marking .
- Oral/Viva-Voce: Conducted for shortlisted candidates based on merit .
