IBPS Details of Clerical Cadre Examination: General Written Examination for Clerical Cadre Vacancy in Institutional Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) Public Sector Banks. The details of the general written examination are given below .

Examination Model: The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) conducts this online general written examination for the post of Clerical Cadre. The test will be of two levels i.e. online test will be conducted in two stages, primary and main. The total number of preliminary test for objective type question is 100 in 1 hour period and the total number of main test for objective type question is 200 in 2 hour period. In addition to the English language test, the tests will be available bilingually, i.e. English and Hindi.

Scores: The revised number (if held) obtained by each candidate in different sessions will be normalized using the method of equality. Penalty for incorrect answer (applicable to both primary and main exams): There will be penalty for incorrect answer identified in the objective test. For each question for which the candidate has given wrong answer, one quarter of the allotted number or 0.25 will be deducted as penalty for reaching the revised number. If the question is left blank, i.e. no answer is marked by the candidate, there will be no penalty for that question.

Cutoff Score (Online Main Examination): Each candidate should get the lowest marks in each of the online main examinations and also consider the lowest total marks for the subsequent process. The cut-off will be decided on the basis of the number of vacancies as per the available State / UTs and the candidates will be considered for temporary allotment. Candidates will not be shared before the completion of the temporary allotment process number obtained in the online main examination.
