The Institute is looking for dedicated, committed and research oriented Indian Nationals to fill up the following vacancies through Direct Recruitment (Four Tier Flexible System) in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) and Department of Information Technology (IT). Sr.

How to Apply :


1. The Institute reserves the right to reject any/all application(s) without citing any reason at any stage of processing.

2. The Institute reserves the right to increase or decrease the number of posts to be filled as per the sole discretion of the Director, IIIT Sonepat. No TA/DA and/or Lodging/Boarding will be paid for attending the Demo/Interview. As the Institute is operating from its Makeshift Campus, no accommodation shall be provided.

3. The applications are to be submitted in hard copies and only in the prescribed format available at the institute website.

4. The Application Form shall not be supplied on postal request. The candidates are advised to download the same from Institute Website viz. www.iiitsonepat.ac.in. The copy of the application form duly signed and enclosed with the Self-Attested photocopies of certificates/testimonials, etc., should reach The Director, Indian Institute of Information Technology, Sonepat, MBA Department Building, NIT Campus, Kurukshetra- 136119 by
Speed Post/Registered Post on or before 09/06/2021 up to 5:00 PM super scribing on the cover APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF __________________ in Department of____________. The Institute shall not be responsible for any postal delays.

5. All applications which are not in prescribed form / without relevant supporting enclosures / received after the last date / without application fees will be outrightly rejected. No correspondence shall be entertained in this regard. Interim Correspondence will also not be entertained or replied to.

6. Institute will not be responsible under any circumstances for any sort of postal delay/loss of the application form.

7. Candidates serving in Govt. / Semi Govt. / PSUs / Universities / Centrally Funded Educational Institutions / Institutes of National Importance / Private Institutions should send their applications either THROUGH PROPER CHANNEL or should furnish a NO OBJECTION CERTIFICATE from the Competent Authority at the time of interview. They can, however, send advance copy of Application Form within specified time. Without NOC Candidate shall not be allowed to attend the Interview. Decision of the Director, IIIT Sonepat shall be final in this respect.

8. The date for determining eligibility of candidates in every respect shall be the closing date for receipt of Application Forms. Age limit for all categories for all positions is sixty years.

9. In case conversion of CGPA / SGPA is involved for deciding the eligibility, the candidates are required to submit the formula / supporting documents for the same.

10. The Institute reserves the right to set higher norms/qualifications than minimum and areas of specialization while short listing taking into account the specific requirements of the individual department and restrict the number of candidates called for Demo/Interview to a practical limit. Short-listing norms may not be uniform across the departments of the Institute and shall be binding on the applicants. The decision of the Institute related to all matters pertaining to the recruitment shall be final and binding on the applicants. Fulfillment of qualifications per-se does not entitle a candidate to be called for selection process.

11. Only the eligible candidates staying abroad would be allowed to attend the Demo/Interview thorough online mode subject to the approval of the Competent Authority.

12. Candidates who wish to apply for more than one post should apply separately for each post in the prescribed format with requisite application fees along with each application.

13. Institute also reserves the right of rejecting any or all the applications without assigning any reasons therefore.

14. The list of short-listed candidates shall be displayed on the Institute website. Candidates are advised to visit the IIIT Sonepat website www.iiitsonepat.ac.in regularly. No correspondence regarding reasons for not short listing the candidate shall be entertained. The decision of the Screening Committee shall be final in all respect.

15. The candidates are required to have at least one working email and mobile number which will be used during the entire selection process for communication, if required.

16. The selected candidate shall be intimated through email after completion of all the Administrative Formalities.

17. In case of any inadvertent mistake in the process of selection detected at any stage even after  the issue of Appointment Letter, the Institute reserves the right to modify/withdraw/cancel any communication made to the candidates.

18. The Institute shall verify the antecedents and documents submitted by a candidate at the time of appointment or at any time during the tenure of the service. In case, it is detected that the documents submitted by the candidates are fake or the candidate has a clandestine antecedents/background and has suppressed the said information, then his/her services shall be terminated and legal action may be initiated against such candidates/employees at their cost of consequence.

19. Date of Birth as recorded in the Matriculation / Secondary Examination Certificate will only be accepted for determining the age and no subsequent request for change will be considered or granted.

20. Applicants seeking reservation benefits available for SC, ST, OBC and EWS must be in possession of the certificates in the formats prescribed by the Government of India (current Financial Year only) in support of their claim at the time of application.

21. In case of any dispute regarding the Recruitment process, the place of jurisdiction shall be Sonepat, Haryana (India) only.

Submission of Documents / Certificates:


The Self- attested copies of following documents are required to be attached with the
Application Form failing which the application shall not be evaluated and shall stands
summarily rejected:

1. The hard copy of the Prescribed Application Form duly signed on all the pages.
2. 10th Standard Certificate.
3. Graduation Mark-Sheets for all years.
4. Graduation Degree Certificate.
5. Master’s Degree & Mark-Sheets for all semesters.
6. PhD Award Certificate / Provisional Award Certificate (Notification).
7. NOC from the Current Employer.
8. Service Certificate for all the previous employments, issued by cadre controlling
authority with consisting of all the designations, pay- scales, type of employment etc.
9. Valid caste certificate for EWS/ OBC-NCL/SC/ST/PWD Certificate (wherever
applicable) issued in the current Financial Year only as per Central Government Format.
10. Proof of any other claim like Publication in Journals, Research Project Grants etc.
11. Original Documents and Id Proof would have to be produced during the Documentation Verification Process to be undertaken on the date of Interview failing which the Candidate may not be allowed to appear for the ,Haryana.

26. Calculation of Grade Points:

How to Calculate Grade Points:

The following Guidelines shall be followed for calculation of Grade Points:

1 One External Sponsored Research and Development Projects completed or ongoing or Patent granted.
            8 Credit Points per Project or 8 Credit Points per Patent as Inventor (in case of more than one person in a Project, the Principal Investigator gets 5 Credit Points and the rest to be divided equally among other Members.

2 Consultancy Projects
             2 Credit Points @ Rs. 5 Lakhs of Consultancy subject to maximum of 10 Credit Points.

3 PhD Completed (including Thesis submitted Cases)
               8 Credit Points per PhD Student (in case there are more than one supervisor, then the Guide (1st Supervisor) gets 5 Credit Points per Student and the rest to be divided equally among other supervisors.

4 One Journal Papers in Science Citation Index (SCI/SCIE) or Scopus
            4 Point per Paper since last promotion. First Author or Main Supervisor will get 2 point and rest will be divided among others.

5 One Conference paper indexed in Science Citation Index/expanded or Scopus or Web of science Conference or any internationally renowned conference

            1 credit points per paper up to a maximum of 10 credit points. First author or Main Supervisor will get 0.6 and rest will be divided among the rest.

6 Head of the Department, Dean, Chief Warden, Professor In-charge (Training and Placement), Advisor (Estate), Chief Vigilance Officer, PI (Exam), TEQIP (Coordinator)
            2 points per semester up to a max of 16 credits pointssince the last promotion. 

7 Warden, Assistant wardens, Associate Dean, Chairman or Convener institute academic
committees, Faculty In charge Computer Center or Information and Technology Services or Library or Admission or student activities and other Institutional activities
            1 credit point per semester up to a maximum of 8 credits points since the last promotion.

8 Chairman and Convener of different standing committee and special committee (Ex officio status will not be considered). Faculty in-charges (Each for one-year duration) of different Units or equivalent
             0.5 credit point per Semesters up to a maximum of 3 credits points since the last promotion. 

9 Departmental activities identified by Head of the Department like lab in charges, or department level committee for a minimum period of one year.  
            0.5 credit point per Semesters up to a maximum of 3 credits points since the last promotion. 

10. Workshop or Faculty Development Program or short-term courses of min 05 working days duration offered as coordinator or convener
             2 credit points per course up to a maximum of 8 credits points since the last promotion. 

11 For conducting national programs like Global Initiative of Academic Networks etc. as course coordinator: Program of two weeks’ duration Program of one-week duration 
            2 credit points per course up to a maximum of 4 credit points since the last promotion. 1 credit point per course up to a maximum of 2 credit points since the last promotion. 

12 National or International conference organized as Chairman or Secretary 
            3 credit points per program up a maximum of 6 credits points since the last promotion.

 13 Length of service over and above the relevant minimum teaching experience required for a given cadre 

            2 credit points per semester with maximum of 10 credit points since the last promotion. 

14 Establishment of New Lab(s) 
            4 credit points since the last promotion. 

15. Theory Teaching of over and above
 
            6 credit hrs. course 1 credit point or credit hrs. up to a maximum of 6 credit points since the last promotion.
 
16 Post Graduate Dissertation guided 
            0.5 credit point per project to a maximum of 10 points since the last promotion. 

17 Under Graduate Projects
             0.25 credit point per project up to a maximum of 4 points since the last promotion.  

18 Text or Reference Books published on relevant subjects from reputed international publishers 
            6 credit points per book up to a maximum of 18 points since the last promotion.  

19 Text or Reference book published on relevant subjects from reputed national publishers or book chapters in the books published by reputed international publishers
             2 credit points per unit up to a maximum of 6 points since the last promotion. 

 20 Significant outreach Institute out activities
             1 credit point per activity up to a maximum of 4 credit points since the last promotion.  
21 Fellow IEEE, FNA, FNAE, FNASc 
            10 credit points
 
22 Placement percentage (only for the placement cell officers or Faculty Incharge of Placement): Above 85% 75% - 84% (% to be based on total number of students passing out and single job offer)
             4 credit points per year upto a maximum of 20 points since the last promotion. 2 credit points per year up to a maximum of 10 points since the last promotion.
